![]() UNBEATABLE COOLING FROM THE TTDMA The new TTDMA provides users with almost unbelievable cooling capabilities. In "crash cool" mode, <200ml of liquid nitrogen (LN2) will cool the sample chamber to -100°C from 20°C in approximately 3 minutes. The system will carry on cooling down to <-190°C, taking no more than 7 minutes and using <1litre of LN2. For most users wishing just to get to a typical start temperature of -100°C, a single charge of the 1 litre cryo dewar system will typically allow 6 experiments to be conducted. For those requiring slow controlled cooling experiments or sub ambient isotherms, an alternative 30 litre dewar arrangement can be selected. Both this and the small 1 litre cryo dewars can be fitted with an auto control valve system operated automatically from the software for these experiments. The 1 litre cryo is shown here with the auto control valve fitted. The use of such small amounts of LN2 saves on laboratory space, cost and of course the environment.
